250 Inline 6 for Ranger?

250 Inline 6 for Ranger?
Any tips on swapping in a 250 (Ford) inline six into an '84 ranger 2wd? It's got a 4 banger now. Would install a BW T5 from a Mustang, as the 250 has the Windsor Bellhousing. Just a thought, because my friends and I are inline freaks and my buddy Mike just got this truck with a blown motor, and we have a 250 from a Granada. We are planning on a mild cam, some head and bowl work, and three 1bbl carbs, along with a header. We don't like V6s in trucks, and he wants something different from a V8.

The only way you're going to fit that engine in there is to do like Proeliator did (In Offroad forum alot), and mount your radiator bedside. You'll need that extra room to give clearance for the 6 inline cylinders. V8's aren't much longer then L4's...but them L6's are big boys. Heavy, too. He will NEED to put in new front coils from an F150, possibly other modifications.
