A/C and climate control system

Is it normal for the A/C indicator/system to stay on when in automatic mode, even when it is 30 degrees outside and the temp setting is 75 degrees? I can't find confirmation in the manual, one way or the other?

Thanks!

Good question. Does the compressor run, or is just the panel indicator on?

I'm fairly certain I've heard the compressor cycle...

Mmm actually thats a feature, it dehumidifies the air keeping your windows from steaming up. Or some such thing like that. I am sure there might be some info in your owners manual on that.

The only thing the manual states is that the "system" controls the A/C. I just find it odd that the A/C cycles even when it's 30 degrees outside. I have a Vette with the same feature, and it "knows" when the temp and humidity are conducive to fogging, and runs the compressor only when necessary.
