timing marks on harmonic balancer
I just rebuilt my 92 5.0 engine for my F-150 and I noticed that there are a series of punch marks around the 14 BTDC marking on the balancer. I normally set my timing to 12 BTDC even though it calls for 10. It just purrs at that setting. What could these dots be for? Max advance timing for this engine?
