Pistons

Me and two friends are planing to build a ranger pick up truck with a 5.0 H.0. for drag race

. Where can I find a set of .060over. aluminium flat top pistons for a 5.0?

You should be able to find them anywhere, Parts places, Speed shops, Machine shops, Online -Summit,Jegs,eTc Or sometimes Ebay but be careful there.

060 is pretty far for an overbore, have you sonic tested the block to ensure it will take that much?? Not all 302 will safely take that much.

.60 is too far over for most 302 blocks. If you need .60 to clean up the walls that one thing, if not, bore to .30 or .40. Boreing does not give you enough h.p. to even be worth trying to figure.

I'm still learning and will always be...

I didn't know that some 302 couldn't take as much as .60 over. I don't want to had sleeves, so I may go for .30 over with balanced stock crank.
