I have an '84 Ranger that I'm getting ready to put a 302 into. I have an engine out of an '87 F-150 with EFI including the wiring harness and computer. I'm debating whether to swap to EFI or to stay carbed. How difficult is it to do this? Any comments would be a big help and very appreciated. Thanks.

On the EFI, my non-expert opinion would be to try to go with the EFI, I think you'll get a lot better gas mileage and, IF the EFI on my truck can be considered normal, no problems what so ever as long as you run a good fuel injection cleaner (like BG) every 15,000 miles or so. As you know, make sure you have all the right sensors (like mass air flow sensor, for one example) in place in order to make everything work like it's supposed to.
I don't think a truck EFI will fit under the hood. A Mustang EFI fits nice, but is hard to find complete with all sensors and wiring. Wiring will be much easier if you put a carb engine in.
