Question Brake booster question

I just installed a brake booster from a 75 F 150 in my 66 F100. I had a time getting the brake pedal hooked-up to the booster arm. Now, it feels like it's already engaged, before you push on the pedal. Is this an adjustment I need to make at the booster, or do I need to drill a new hole location on the pedal?
Thanks-in advance-for your help!

Modify pedal ratio

Just a suggestion.....go to 911brakes.com for explaination on the need to change pedal ration when converting from manual to power brakes.

This gives you the info you need to link everything up so that the brakes function as they are supposed to. I drilled hole 1" lower on my 64 with a disc conversion and I have the correct pedal response. Check it out!!!

Brett, You will need to turn the adjusting screw on the booster where the master cylinder attaches clockwise. This is appling brakes, and needs to be adjusted until it isn't.

Exclamation

Thanks Guys, I read all the solutions in the previous forum, and decided to change to a newer brake pedal; I've got a 73 4x4 parts truck. When I looked at removing the pedals; I decided to go with the 1/2" spacer between the master-cylinder and the firewall. This feels good for now, but, I'm still plumbing brake lines. Snow isn't far away, and I've got to get this puppy down off the blocks, or it will be there until April! I guess I'll change pedals later if need be. Thanks for your help!

Brett, I drilled a new hole in my pedal arm and use my 66 pedal in my truck. I think a spacer does the same action as I suggested.

I know this might sound stupid. But is it the same for power assisted brakes as it is without power? I'm putting power in mine and I actually own a 78' f-150 w/power disc brakes and it seems like the pedal sets alot lower to the tloor.
