Can anyone tell me if this carb will fit my truck??
I found this carb out on ebay my truck is down really need carb.
I have a 65 F100 with a 1bbl six.
The tag on the carb is CFOF NA6HE.
The ad states thats its an Autolite for a 1967 Ford F100, 1bbl, 6 cyc.
The carb on the truck cannot be rebuilt, must replace. Also can't try new ideals at this time, need truck for work
That carb (the autolite) should work. I don't know how to decode your tag. Do you have an oil bath type aircleaner, or paper? If you post a pic in your gallery of your carb I am pretty sure I can ID it.
FWIW, the autolite 1101 carbs were/are not too well thought of. The later carter YF's are bolt up, interms of manifold and accellerator linkage. The choke is the only issue, as you may need to rig up some sort of choke cable bracket. But very do-able, and a popular upgrade.
The second character of the tag should be a number which specifies the year. Usually, anything with **0F **(1bbl) would tell me it's off a Car such as a Fairlane or Comet or even Mustang with a 6cyl ( 144-170-200 or 250 ). Even if it fit on your manifold, then you have to rig up the rest as listed above. Can you get a better look at the tag again. Have you tried NAPA or CarQuest for a rebuilt? If you're using it for work, you need to get it back on the road ASAP. There is an ad on Ebay that lists a tag C7OF NA6HE , but it's listed a 67 Car,6cyl., not 67 F-100. That would be correct for the Fairlane ot Torino. Was that the one you were looking at?
Berry, yes, that's the carb I'm looking at. So I guess it won't fit. CD, there's some parts missing so I can't get a rebuilt kit for it, lost them, STUFF happens. Do y'all know where I can find the one that just bolt right up??
3 years ago I had the same situation so I bought a new carb from NAPA, (it was a 1 bbl holley)... They found the right carb and gaskets and orded them for the next day. I made the mistake of having them just drop it buy and bill me... (It was almost $300 bucks....) but it did just bolt on and my truck was running in an hour. Hope this helps
Do you have a tag on the original one? Post it or tell me what the application is ( engine, tranny size) and I can look in my Ford parts and access. catalog and see what they list. THere was over 250 listed on Ebay last night of various carbs. You could always go the Holley replacement route. They probably make a carb to fit. It might be expensive, but better than messing with a carb that's been rebuilt too many times.
