Hi, everyone. I've worked on autos for years, but I always like to make sure of mods before starting them. I need help, I picked up a 1990 Ford 4wd with a 302 and a 5 spd. The engine has been getting weak, I'd like to put a used one in from a 84 marquis that i've got. Is this possible? If so, will the intake fit on the heads, the exhaust manifolds-will they fit on the older 302? And what about the flywheel and pilot? Are fords like chev. and they use removeable brass bushings? I would greatly appreciate any and all info. It's about ready to snow and get here in NoDak and I'd rather be ready.
Thanks again,
Nick
yes EFI manifold will fit old heads, and same for exhaust manifolds. Not 100% sure on clutch setup though. If all else fails, I do have a strong running 302 Im getting ready to put on the market if you're in OH.

312, thank you also. But you didn't mention anything about pilot bearing/bushing. These aren't part of the flywheel on ford after a certain year, are they? I've seen a couple that way, maybe just some diesels are? Thanks again, the hookups to the heads were my main worries!!!
Not 100% sure on what all I'm gonna throw in with it yet, so not sure on price. Won't be much, it's stock and has about 75,000 miles on it. It leaks a little oil out the valve covers, but that isn't a big deal. I'm gonna look at it later in the week to see what all works on my '76(alt. & brackets & stuff like that). Only thing is I'm sure shipping to ND would be quite a bit, never shipped anything like this b4 but I'm sure it's costly.

312, yea, they just sit in the end, and are removeable. But are they brass or bearing type on the fords after a certain year? I was told that the older fords either were or weren't cut to accept a bushing in the flywheel end of the crank. I just want all the bases covered. As far as being cut for bushings, I mean if was having a auto or a stick behind it.
