Talking 12 Volt coil?

Two questions guys, I am in the process of collecting the parts for conversion to 12 volt on my 53F100. If I know I will later be also adding Petronic's ignition, but I want to stay with the points for now, what coil should I use? Also, where do you guys buy your ignition parts for 292/312's? The guy's at the local parts store looking at me like I was nuts! ........and they may be right!

Thanks, John

Use a 12V coil for a 56-up truck. Also, NAPA is probably going to be your best bet to get ignition parts locally, otherwise you can get them through mail order from Macs, Sacramento Ford, or any of the other F-100 specialty suppliers. BTW, the next time you ask for 292-312 parts, look for the guy behind the counter with the grey hair or the manager. He won't think you're nuts!
