Taking the 12 volt Plunge!

I'm sick of trying to find 6 volt parts local for my 51 F1, so I'll be ordering parts for a 12 volt conversion. I suck with electricity, but I think this may be something I can do in a day. I need an experienced person that has done a 12 volt conversion to look over my parts list. Most of the parts are going to be ordered through Macs. I will not need to replace the starter or my wiper motor (vacuum). Here is the list

Alternator with stand
New fan belt while I'm at it
2 - 12 volt Headlamps
12 volt Coil
Ignition Coil Resistor/ballast resistor
Voltage reducer for instrument gauges
Horn relay and 12 volt horn
12 volt starter relay/solenoid
12 volt battery
12 volt flasher
Bulbs will be bought seperately

Please let me know if I missed something. I don't want to order twice. Thanks!

Hey how about doing voltage checks on the fuse panel to see if you missed something. Of course some may not be hot with it not running. But give it a try and see what else you can come up with.

Also this thread may give you more insight

And for the heck of it this

Thanks for the info! I forgot to add an ignitor to the list. If anyone from the Austin area has done a 12 volt conversion, let me know. I'd like to meet you.
