I have a 94 460 and i cant get any spark from the coil or the plug wires.
it has 12 volts from the coil in the run position and 12 volts to both wires on the coil. also has 12 volts to the distributor on one of the pins in the connector. any help would be appreciated

 

My best guess based upon your limited information is the TFI ignition module. It grounds your coil to cause the spark. When the engine is not turning, it's normal to see +12V on both sides of the coil.

You can search on this and read a ton about it, which may help you to further troubleshoot it.

 

if the module don't fix it, prob the magnetic pickup in the dist. my 89 left me on the the interstate one time because of it.

 

just switched out the tfi and the pickup in the distributor and nothing one thing i did notice is that the #3 pin for the tfi is hot in the run position not just in start position

 

well after tracing wires for most of the day i have traced the problem back to the pcm pin 3 #56 has power when trying to start but there is no power at the spout plug what i have found is this usually means the pcm is bad does this sound correct?
