hi i asked a similar question about my 79 460 f150 4x4 35 " mud tired truck.i could get mini spools for $40 each 9" and d44 and was told i could run it in 2wd on the street and when running on the trail lock in only one hub (so i can steer) and in the serious stuff i would lock both hubs in and hope for the best.i know one guy who ran both diffs welded and it would go through anything but i would rather use a spool instead
