just some info for you, if you need to change your post you can use the edit button up to 1 hour...

on edit; you can use a fiberglass repair kit, you can get them at any boat supply house.....

You have to describe "soft hull" a little more......the hull is flexing? below the waterline or above, or is it the cabin top? I have a lot of experience doing fiberglass repair on sailboats. If your more specific, I can probably help you!!

I'd check a fiberglass boat repair place. Sounds like a section of your deck needs to be replaced. It's worth having someone take a qualified look and tell you if it's worth the effort or not. Better to find out at the boat yard than out on the water.

Sounds like the coring is rotten. Is this in the hull itself, the deck, or where? If its the hull, is it above or below the waterline?

Strongly agree w/ Black1.

Get more than one professional estimate if at all possible.

Not sure where you live, (FL?) but if you can hold out a little longer many of the repair shops that cater to the recreational boater get short on work during the winter and may work w/ you on the labor side of the repair.

Boat Repairs:

Check out the site at ***.gougeon.com for boat repairs on anything from antique wood to the latest World Cup racing boats which they have manufactured for years . They own West Systems and there are links at the home site related to repairs and supply any where in the world . Good Luck
with your older one . Mine is a 1963 Mahogony Lapstrake, Cruiser Inc. with the first transom mounted Volvo 4cyl inboard/ outboard manufactured in North America. Built in Wisconsin and still looks and runs like the day it was built .
I am the second owner only and obtained the original shipping and purchase invoice with the boat when I bought it 12 years ago . Those craftsmen in those days certainly knew how to build a boat in Wisconsin . Of course it catches more fish now as it is in Canadian waters .

It may well be past repairing cost-effectively. See if you can find a qualified marine surveyor to take a look at it.

What is the year, make, model, length of the boat?

The wood used in the flooring is rotten, you need a new floor. Now with that being the case, the stringers below the floor are surely rotten also.Big job!! Now if you get the floor cut out and check the stringers and they check out ok, you can re-glass them making sure not to fiberglass the drain holes.Your transom is also probaly rotten also. That's the problem with plywood used in fiberglass boats. From just the info you gave i would probaly pass on fixing it.If it is just the floor, it might be worth it to fix.Check the transom by checking any holes drilled in it.Try to pick some wood out with a pick or something,or drill a couple of small holes thru the transom and check the sawdust that you drill out.I have experiance with situations like this and it is a lot of work. good luck
