I just paid $1.50gal. Just wondering what everyone else is paying. It's going to be a long winter for some people. Especialy if prices don't stop rising.
I wish that was all I have to pay! Try about twice that, and you will see why I am trying to set up a wood furnace for my place, which has propane heat.
Locked in contract with local COOP, 1.10 per gallon - next 800 gallons, free delivery, free tank as long as I buy from them. At that price it looks like I should have locked in the next 2000 gallons (dime a gallon prepay).
If you move here the only time you need it is for a BBQ!
I dont use it for heat, we use wood for heat. We are "off the Grid" where I use propane and it powers a generator, a refrigerator, stove, lighting and yes a BBQ. So, even if you are in the desert, you could find alot of uses for propane, if your off the grid.
I only use propane to run gas logs in my fireplace, but it has risen $10.00 from last year to $62.00 for a 100 lb. tank. I don't know what that works out to per gallon.
