Hanging Connector

I changed my oil today on my '97 F150 myself (I used to have someone else do it). Anyway, I noticed there are two connectors close to the oil filter. One is plugged in where the filter screws in, which I assume is for the oil pressure gauge. The other is just hanging there disconnected. It is a two pin connector. Any idea what this connector is for and should it be connected some where?

Thanks.

It may for an option you do not have. The harnesses are semi universal and some times the application does not need the connector. If everything is still working don't wory about it.

Thanks for the reply. That's kind of what I thought, but wanted confirmation. Seems like everything is running ok.
