need help

i have a stock 352, exept electronic ignition and a hipo coil, and about 500 dollars and i was wondering what should do to it to start the build up. i was really considering headers or a carb but i was wondering what you guys were thinking.

Hmmmm . . . For $228 you can get cheap headers, mufflers, and tailpipes from Summit . . . For $240 you can get an Edelbrock 650cfm (man choke) 4bbl carb, and that leaves you almost enough to get a 4bbl intake out of a junkyard to make that work.


I guess it depends on if you're having any driveability problems right now (I'm guessing you might from the switch to electronic ignition). A new carb might make the biggest difference.

no i dont have any problems i just put it on to eliminate the points and condenser and the motor runs perfect.

I sort of am in the same boat but i am keeping the points. I like to have one vehicle that will work if there ever is a massive solar flare or a nuke hits.

I know Ratsmoker isn't here to support me in this, but He and I agree that the headers and free flowing exhaust are first, followed by intake and carb. The cam and compression come after that.

yeah

that is what i was thinking considering our exaust manifold is so constricted. i was then thinking of putting on a cam shaft but if you think that i should do a carb first then i probably will do that. hey thanks for everything i just wanted to make sure that would be best.
