..my brother to the North West, I was just wondering if you have any of that fine snow falling in your neck of the woods. Sounds like it could be time to dust off the snow blower and prepare for some quality space heated time in the garage. I need a few more weeks of 60 degree weather
Oh yeah. Weve had snow for the last 3 days. Not much, but enough to drive me indoors. I will be fueling up the space heater in the garage for the weekend. It kinda sucks because I want to do some fine tuning on the 511, and I don't want to do it with this cold, dense air. I'm hoping this passes and we get a few more days of temperate weather.

Man, it feels like you were just pulling it out of the shop in the cold to play with it. You don't get too much summer up there, do ya?
It's still too hot and humid here to do much work without sweating.
Well Guys I REALLY hate to brag!! But where I live in Virginia, wee have all real nice season's... Summers mostly in the high 80s low 90s a few days very might hit High 90s low 100s....fall...just flat or great with all the colors from the Blue Ridge Mountains where I live..( well the foot hills) only about 1500' up.. Mild winters but nice snow to Ski... and Hunt...Spring, Days in the high 60s and Low 40s at night, good sleeping weather... I fish back here about 10 months out of the year...
And we dont have real bad Humidity as the do in the deeper south!

Oh yeah, sure, I don'nt wanna brag but....Gimme a break. I moved from Arizona, the land of eterrnal summer to Texas the land of "if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes, it'll change"
I loved Arizona, within 3 hours you could be at the beach (San Diego), in the pines and snow (Flagstaff, Prescott, Payson, Sedona) in the sand dunes (Yuma) or in the desert (all points in between!!!)
I love Texas too. We have four seasons here. I know cuz I've seen them all...in one week Went from the 90's to shoveling snow, to the 60's and back to 100s in FEBRUARY. Oh, By the Way, that was the first winter for me in Tejas...quite the welcome.

Where are you? Cause, I don't know if I'd call Amarillo true Texas. And it sure didn't snow here anytime in the last 15 years....we go ta couple of freezes, but no real snows...
Strokster, I lived in Redondo Beach Southern Cal for 38 years, and 90% of the time the weather was fine, IF you could see it...
I finally found out after all those years being there...that Cal has NO gravity!! IT Sucks!!!
But I do miss, seeing all the hard bodied Beach babies, all the 1/4 mile drag strip that were real close.... and my favorite watering hole (Rebos) Sober backwards!!
Its right next to Orange County International Speedway!! Aaaahhh, Many an hour spent in there after the drags!!! Good old days!!

I'm in Bulverde, about 15 miles north of San Antonio, kinda on the edge of the hill country. We had snow here twice last year, Feb. was the last time. I'll email you a couple of pictures.
We've had snow here at least 4 times since we moved here in '94. In fact, that was the first year we got snow on our little Hacienda. It was also the year we learned about Northerns. 65-70 when you leave for work, 30 degrees with high winds for the drive home. I've never experienced weather shifts that radical.

My buddies in-laws had a house a few blocks off of Redondo. Loved it over there. I'll recommend Rebos to all my friends.
Man, you got me thinking about some R&R on the beach...strictly scientific of course...Beach Research, yea, that's the ticket.
I grew up in Cheyenne, and farmed in Eastern Colo for a while - nowadays I don't worry about cold weather starting in my truck - it only has to start one time after the first cold day - that would be the day I leave for Palm Springs.
I never understood why someone would live with ice and snow - There is a lot wrong with California, but one of the nice things about it is that you can visit winter (high Sierras) anytime you want, and then swing by summer (Death Valley) on the way home.
You two are neighbors. That's why I said to get together to tune your 446. Strokster could be a great resource for getting that BG carb all dialed in.

Yah. we've been talking through email. I knew a while back that he was close. I just forgot.
Anyway, what he's calling snow, I just call bad driving! I like t ogo snow skiing/boarding. If it's not enough for snow sports then it's just a pain in the ****. it does look pretty when it happens down here.
but latley, it's been in the 80s with very high humidity....not a typical pleasant fall in central Texas.
