There is no correct answer to your question. Look in the owners manual. The door post label will give you the GVW. Gross Vehicle Weight rating. Weigh your truck and subract that from the GVW to see how much to load in the bed. It depends on your engine, transmission, axle ratio, payload package, cab configuration, etc.That is all spelled out in the owners manual.
i appreciate the info but the reason I was asking was because I don't have the manual for my truck. It has a 300, 5 speed, 3:55, factory installed helper springs, 4x4, and the factory 11" heavy duty clutch.
