Cat back is the only legal way. It would be hard to re-tune your sensors for a dual exhaust system. You could also damage your engine.

Catback .. and not to big or you will lose bottom end torque.

I too want to change my exhaust; however, Ford Dealer said I cannot because it will void my warrantee. Is everyone just voiding their warrantees when they modify??

everyone seems to worry too much about voiding the warranty. perhaps it's just me, but seems like you should be satisfied with your truck at LEAST until the warranty has expired.....before that how would you know if you made it better? you don't really know what it was like before. that's just my 2 cents.

Wait 3 years? In the first week I had my Ranger, the "Sport" decal was off and the after-cat pipes were on. I knew I had made it better the first time I heard the new sound. Never had any problems using the warranty.

If we could get our hands on the SLP systems, it would seem that this would be a non-problem. Trouble is, Ford/SLP is not showing an interest in making these systems available to non-Thunderbolt owners. I'd prefer to buy OEM factory performance parts as I believe that the engineering is at least as good and probably better than aftermarket stuff. However, if Ford/SLP refuse to step up to the plate, it's their business loss for an apparently huge market.
