Hey I just wanted to share the fact that I just rolled over147,000 miles on my 1995 351 Bronco and it is still going strong.I would like to know how many miles others may have.sharkwhit
replaced gas tank, starter, radius arm and bushing. put a set of used 31 m.t baja claws on her. little ruff ride but she sees the woods every weekend, plenty of mud holes and i have manual 4x4 shift on the floor no electric push button. might be putting a suspension lift in after tax season. oh yeah cant forgot the winch, hopefully . i love my bronco!
My '96 5.8L EB just turned over 80k miles. No problems other than a blown rear axle seal and that clunk when launching from a dead stop. What is that? Axle twist? It's been doing it forever. Gone through 3 sets of front pads and rotors and never changed the rear brakes. Uh, key FOB died....
I'm running on Bridgestone 33 Duelers. Stock aluminum rims.
'95 XL with 351 and 149,500 miles. Bought with 123k on a government auction. No problem until 135k when the fuel pump died; recently, (all in the last month ) the water pump gasket had disintegrated, the speed sensor blow in the rear differential, and the battery it came with had died with almost no warning. Oh, as usual, my front hubs don't work -- removing that inner lockring from the 3 screw hub is a real pain, but I'll convert the hubs before this winter.
94 5.8, just hit the 133,000 mark last weekend, no problems other than battery, rear end "clunk", new ignition switch, and the low pressure switch for the A/C. Lovin every mile of it and hope it keeps runnin as strong as it does now!
BTW- Hamfisted, the rear end clunk is most likely your slip joint, do a search on the site if you want to take care of it, its easy.
1989 5.0 with 185,000 miles. Lots of little stuff replaced here and there, but overall it's still a darn good running, and great looking truck.
Some how, my original interior is still in good shape so to protect it I just installed some waterproof seat covers (mostly for the dogs) and it's like a new truck in there all over again. Now I just brush of the seats and go.
Mine is a 93 with the original 5.8L engine, getting to the 152,000 in a few days, everyting is original except the alternator, starter and water pump all three failed in the last 3 weeks.
Other modifications are, shocks rancho 5000, front coils and 33x12.5x15 BFG
tires...more to come.
I have a '92 302 with 105,000 and have not really had any major problems, just some slight blow-by that has gotten a little better now that I am driving it more and the AC doesn't work well, just needs a recharge.
