My 2000 Rnager came with no spare tire lock key. I found a blank on ebay for $9 (instead of $35-65 from keysmith/dealer) Anyhow I went to the dealer to get a code and he said there isn't any. He has codes for the doors/ignition, but not rear lock.
What they do if the key is lost is take out the whole lock and get a new lock and key from Ford.
My question: Anyone know of any other ways to get code before I tear it out. And, How tough is that lock? would I be able to pound in screwdiver and break it, or drill it, or can you actually punch it through?
