M5OD to C6 conversion?
I have a 1995 F-150, 4x4, inline 6, 5 speed. 3.08 axle ratio and 31 inch tires. I want to convert to automatic due to arthritis problems in my hips, knees, and ankles. I know i'll need the transmission(of course), flywheel, torque converter, probably a steering column with auto shifter and linkage. What i'm not sure of how to do is adapt the speedometer pick up. Has anyone done this swap before, and have any suggestions on problems i might encounter? I really don't want to get rid of this truck thats why i want to do the swap. I also don't want to go for a newer transmission with electronic soleniods, that would involve a new computer. Any suggestions and info would be greatly appreciated. thanks
