I Have The V6 Version With An Automatic OD Transmission, The Problem Is That It Keeps Shifting In And Out Of Overdrive At Speeds Above 60mph.
I Have Read A Few Of The Posts On Here And Everyone Has Suggested Trying The Rx-auto Chemicals To Clean The Transmission, Then Flush And Refill. I Have The Chemicals In The Transmission Now, My Question Is: There's Actually 2 (two) Solenoid Vavles, A Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid And A Shift Control Solenoid, And I Don't Know Which Of These Are Actually Located In The Valve Body Of The Transmission. I Am Going To Completely Flush The Transmission But I Also Want To Change The Correct Valve At The Same Time So I Don't Have To Drop The Pan Again. Does Anyone Know Which Of These Valves Would Create My Problem???
THANKS,
CHUCK
I would guess it's the lockup Torque converter selenoid. If it were shifting into another gear at 60 and the torque converter were locked at the time (which it should be unless your foot is in it) then the shift would be incredibly rough. I'm talking you think you were just rear-ended rough. So my guess is the torque converter is messing up on you.
It should throw a code causing the check engine light. I hink your waisting your money on that trans fix fluid. If there is a problem there is no trans medicine. Only a repair/rebuild will truly fix the problem.
