Econoline vent window gaskets

Econoline vent window gaskets
I'm in the process of replacing these gaskets on my vent windows. Anyone done this . I'm unsure of how to get the gasket on in one piece. The bottom pivot of the vent needs to be remove from what I see inorder to complete this. Help appreciated Steve from CT

steve, there are 2 screws at the top pivot that need to be removed. take those out, DO NOT LOSE THEM!, and the window will come right out. there should be a hole in the bottom of the gasket for the pivot pin to go thru.
if you will look down about 4-5 forums you will find the econoline forums. first is 61-67 second is 69 and up.

Jim I have taken those screw out and the entire frame, as the window alone did not come out. The bottom pivot is still attached to the frame. even with the spring tensionor nut and spring removed and will not come out of the frame channel? Is this bottom pivot screw into the buttom of the glass frame channel? Steve
