Im intimitaded by girls I cant manage to talk to em for nothin im in my senior year and ive only went to one dance which was prom last year (my parents pushed me and paid for everything) and the girl (ive got worse names for her) basicily disapeared when we got ther (doubled with my buddy and his girl friend because im the only one that had a license at the time) and I sat there for 3 hours drinking watered down punch had to listen to rap music. Also im very shy so this year ill probaly be working on the beast or at a car show or on FTE instead of going prom or any dance in that case. Well if girls made the first move I still wouldnt go because NONE ant my HS talk to me. But hey aerocolorado hook me up im avail 18 and I work 2 jobs.

A hot, intelligent, horse riding, 4X4 loving, stick shift driving girl is just about as close to perfection as they get. But that's just me. I better stop thinking about it though. I'm 20 and I like not being in jail.

Aerocolorado,

I'm 21 year old female. I went through much the same of what it sounds like your daughter is going through. I got compliments on my appearance, I was also into horses (western ) I liked to wrench on my truck and talking to guys was always easy for me, but I never got asked out in High School. I had one date to a dance and it was more like a sympathy date because my friend had just been dumped by his girlfriend. I usaully went to the dances whether I had a date or not. Then all the losers that didn't ask me to the dance in the first place, would come ask me for a dance and all thier dates would be all tift at ME by the end of the night. Oh well you just can't win.

Now that I'm out of high school I get asked out quite a bit. So, tell your daughter to hang in there it's just a phase. She'll have her time.

Well this is really interesting - no dates either. When I went to my 5 year high school reunion, I was absolutely stunned to learn that one of the best looking girls (in my opinion) never had a date during high school. She was one of those girls you just assumed always had a date. At the time, I thought she was exaggerating, but your confirmation and watching what is going on at home lends creedence to her story. Pay attention here guys and learn to open your mouth.

I can't say im intimidated as i love to flirt with girls but i hate askin girls out(one of the reasons i asked you guys). I always have a feeling(even in this case where she wrote me a note earlier) that somethings gonna turn out chitty. I guess what im sayin is i have a hard time when it comes to askin em out and such but im a big flirt. Intimidated? No. Scared? Yes.

You shouldn't be scared. The worst that can happen is she'll say no.

Please don't take offense to this, but guys like you always irritated me in HS I would think they were going to ask me out because they would flirt with me then, nothing would ever come of it. At the time I was too scared to make the first move because I never got asked out myself. Any way step out of your box and go for it.

BTW You and your date have fun at the dance and be safe!
Wow, I sound like my mom.

Anyways yeah i make lotsa girls mad like that in a way. Well like my last g/f like i knew she liked me and i waited till the last second and the girl b4 that asked me out. Sad i know.
