Homecoming dance

Every year we have the homecoming game..and then the homecoming dance right? I plan on going even though this is my first year at my new school but anyways. The question is..do i ask a girl and be with her the whole time or do i go by myself and make myself "available"? I already know who I would ask if i am to ask someone. Just want some opinions here.

um I never went to adance stag. this highschol I imagine? normally just sask the gal, dress in slacks and a nice button up shirt and some 'dressy' shoes or boots. a cowboy hat wont hurt either if you are the type.

To tell ya the truth cowboy hat would kill it. Im more of a torn ranger boats cap with oil stains type.

Ask a chick prior to going. The chances of a hot girl going stag are unlikely and the chance of you picking up a girl at a homecoming dance are very unlikely. Not saying anything against you here or anything.

Yeah, deffantly ask the girl before hand. I usually would make it more of a fun night. I'd go out to dinner before hand, stay at the dance for about an hour or so then go do something fun afterwards, and maybe a party after that.

Ok so i asked this chick to the dance. She had told me before hand that she "would like to go with me which would mean we would have to start going out/steady So were gonna go to the game next friday. Go to the dance saturday. Go to a party afterwards(at my house) and hopefully all will go well and i wont get in any fights(hate fighting in front of chicks). Thanks for the help i didnt know what to do.

Never go to a dance stag, NEVER. Always take a girl, even if she has no interest in you, or you are no way attracted to her, girls can always smell when you have a date, if you go stag you are pretty much garunteed to be a wall flower all night, no matter how hard you try.

Since we're on this topic, let me ask you high school age males a question. Are guys intimidated by girls these days? The reason I ask, is my gorgeous, straight A, high school junior daughter has never been asked to a dance or school function in the last two years. She is not a shy wallflower nor is she extroverted, just a normal teen that loves horses (rides English Hunter), country music and prefers a stick shift Ranger 4x4. So, what gives with guys these days? Would you rather the girl make the first move?

OK, just my hindsight: I certainly enjoyed having a girly friend in HS. However, upon reflection and based on the way it turned out, it was a big mistake.

What I wish I could have done is had more friends and done more things with them....in other words, the deadly double date or group activity.

So maybe you find that wallflower or girl who doesn't get much attention and do both of you a favor.

Any girl that prefers a stick shift 4X4 is alright with me. Come on down this way and I'll take her to our Prom.

I'm a junior this year and I'm not intimidated...but I've never asked a girl out. I'm just waiting for "the one" to come along. I don't see much sense in 2 week relationships....besides my truck takes all of my money now.
