bronco2 stalls
I HAVE A 1985 BRONCO 2 AND WHEN THE WEATHER STARTS TO GET COLD THE 2.8 STARTS FINE BUT WILL STALL WHEN YOU ARE AT AN IDLE EVEN AFTER IT HAS REACHED RUNNING TEMP IT WILL NOT IDLE.ADJUSTING THE IDLE SCREW DOSN'T CHANGE ANYTHING IT WILL STILL AFTER A BIT LONGER STALL.THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DOSE NOT COME ON.IS THIS AN EMISSION PROBLEM ?

If your thermostat may not be letting the engine get up to the right temp.Also at Sears tool dept you can get a computer tester about 40 dollers. This will let you get the codes, it comes with a book that tells you what the codes are.Also check for a vacuum leak hoses,gaskets, look at your egr it may be stuck remove it and clean it .Let me know if that works . good luck happy new year.
