front end grinding noise?

Sounds a little far fetched to me. I'd definately get more than one opinion. What gets me is that your problem goes away if you come to a complete stop. That's just strange. Can you switch to 4WD on the fly? If so, give it a try next time the noise/vibration starts and see what happens. If the noise goes away instantly, they're feeding you a line of bull. I lucked out, It seems all my troubles were caused by bad lockout hubs.

here is something to try grab your steering bars and see if they swing back and forth, or get someone to get in your truck and have them turn the steering wheel back and forth and if your steering bars (tie rod ends) move forward and backward then your tie rod ends are out if not then that aint your problem
