cd probs

just installed a new cd player in a 90 bronco II. powers up for about 5 secs then shuts off. any ideas as to what's going on? thanks.

What brand CD player? Also...it's not popping the fuse is it?

it's a jvc. and no, it's not blowing any fuses.

Check the wiring on the player, and make sure you have the ignition wire going to the right wires, and memory wire going to the right and 12v, and ground.. I know it sounds simple but just make sure. I had that problem with mine when I first got it, and I checked wiring and found out I had memory wire and the 12v wire switched. I have a 90 BII also.
