Getting things fixed down in Belize is hard and my Bronco is no exception.
Starter has been apparently jamming accompanied by a single click sound from under the hood on turning the ignition. Then it really started playing up, starting with just the ignition turned as far as 'on', then not stopping 'starting' and then still continuing to turn the starter with the ignition turned back to off! now all is dead, no lights nothing, only the 'key in ignition buzz' thats all. Its a '81 Bronco II.
Bill, sounds like the trouble is in either the starter solenoid (under the hood) or your ignition switch. I would suspect it's the switch. Try checking the connections on the solenoid first, you may get lucky and find it's something simple. Don't know how hard parts are to get in Belize, but both the solenoid and switch are used on several model Fords so hopefully you can find them. (Didn't know Ford made an 81 deuce?)
