Adobe Reader
NO problems till this week, my Adobe PDF reader will come up but it does not initialize...I just have a nice black box with the Adobe logo and I have to reboot to clear the system. I have been to Adobe web site and read all the fixes but none apply. I am an arm chair computer geek and have not found anything yet....any other PDF file readers to think about or answers on Adobe would be nice.

Remove whatever version you have, and install/reinstall version 6. Either you're running an earlier version, or your current install has become corrupted. Either way an uninstall and a fresh install should take care of the problem.

From all the computers I have had...Adobe programs seem to give me the most problems

Just had a problem with Adobe not being able to find files and a blank screen coming up. I loaded a small update (6.02 I believe) and it still dident work right. After I loaded the new Microsoft service pak, all was back to normal. Dont ask me what worked, all I know is I dont have to beat the computer against the wall....this time.
