expedition lock question

Question for you guys. I'm asking this for a friend who has a '99 Expedition. It has the entry package with the keypad on the door handle and doesn't know what the code is. He bought it used a couple months ago and it didn't come with an owners manual. Any ideas on how to reprogram it? Thanx in advance!

Bought an 01 last week. Ford dealer had to plug in a computer to read the code out.

Do a search for "2000 Expedition keyless entry" there is a thread showing the module under the dash by the parking brake which has the orignal factory code on a sticker. I do not know how to add a link to the reply which sends you there.

Its the 5 digit number on the RAP module under the driver side dash on the firewall..

same deal here

i also just looked under the dash and got the code...worked like a champ! the remote control was a different story. To program a remote, you have to turn the ignition from off to on 8 times in quick succession. If you do it right, the doors will then lock and unlock...then you push a button on the remote, and it is now programmed. and to think...my parents drove this thing forever without trying, knowing, or even asking!
