I'm having trouble with my drivers side heated seat. The switch light will illuminate, but seat will not heat.
I have a Ford sevice CD, but it is only for a 2000 Ford product, and the only heated seat directions are for an Expedition with varible heat settings. I'm having trouble with the directions, as it seems my '02 F-150 is missing some of the parts.
I tried following the trouble shooting for the Expedition, but that did not yeild any concrete results.
So out of shear frustration, I swaped heat modules with the passenger side (it works), and have determined that the problem is not the heat module.
Can anyone point me in the right direction and what I should be checking with my DMM?
I am having the same problem with my 2002 F-150 SCrew. There was a post a few months back that explained this but I can't find it now that I actually have time to try and fix it. As far as I remember it was either the Heat Modules or the heaters themselves but I would imagine that there is some sort of switch in the seat that turns the heater off if you are not actually sitting in the seat, unless that is part of the Heat Module. I believe it was Racerguy that had the post I saw a few months ago, hopefully whoever posted it will chime in, it was 30 degrees yesterday morning so it was a cold leather ride into work.
