I am trying to install 1998 Leather Ford Expedition Seats in my 1997 Ford F-150 I cannot for the life of my figure out the heated seats hook up. I have already hooked up the driver side seat adjustment switches.
There are 3 wires for the heated seats: Red/blk (I'm guessing +), Blk (voting negative) and wht/light blue (not friggin clue). Now I have looked through my wiring diagrams in the back of my chiltons manual and the only wht/lt blue wire I can find in a Expedition has something to do with interior lighing, maybe a LED? If so a LED might that power be different than a normal 12+? And why can't I seem to get heat from the seat with out the wht/ltblue?
Right now I am doing most of my testing with a battery charger (a very nice battery charger, multiple settings).
Please Help! This leather is really cold in the winter!
Someone I was talking to mentioned that some heated seats run off of different voltage. But I would assume that is probably what the box is mounted to the bottom of the seat.
Thanks for any help! I can't get a respone from anyone on this problem.
Let me get this clearly. you can get heat from the seats if all three wires are connected? If so then try wiring the white/blue to a switch. If not let me know. I am trying to dig up a wiring diagram for a 98 Expedition.
