I looked back at the archives and to tell the truth I don't really find a code reader anyone brags about. Is the only one that works right the $2400 dollar NGS unit? How about something I can hook to my notebook?

Is the tachometer moving when the engine turns over? If not suspect CPS or it's connector. Most tuners can also retrieve codes.

Haha. Vag-Com is missing out on a golden opportunity here. They could sell millions of $$$ worth.

this is an e-350, 1995, it does not have a tach! so I don't know. I have changed out the CPS, the IPR, the fuel pump and due to using the starter up I have rebuilt the starter. I don't have a guage to check the High pressure oil pressure. I am in need of somes serious help. I have spent way to much time on this.

I can't tell you where your parts are, but you may post that question on the "e-series" forum and I'm sure someone there will know.
