ok, here's a question for all the oil guru's. I keep seeing posts on mobil 1 delvac 5w-40 syn oil. I have not been able to find this at Walley world. They do have mobil1 syn 5w-40. Isn't it the same stuff?
Also, does anyone know if there is a difference between the mobil1 and the shell rotella syn? (besides the price).
Either should be an excellent oil. If you can find the Rotella 5w40 synthetic use it. You might have to expand you shopping beyond wally world if you want to find the good stuff...
Mobil1 Delvac 5w-40 is now called Mobil1 Truck & SUV 5w-40 oil.
You won't find any Delvac 5w-40 any more.
Mobil1 Truck & SUV 5w-40 oil is the same stuff.
are you sure about that, because the tech specs(flash point, ash content, pour temp, ect...) are different for the "delvac" and the "truck and suv" oils on mobil 1's wedb site. just wondering, i have used the delvac for a few years and just bought the truck and suv stuff for my next oil change(didnt have time to drive to get the delvac) but i was going to go back to the delvac.
I read somewhere that Rotells T is not a full synthetic like mobile 1 is. anyone know if this is true? I know that both are good oil but I was just wondering if the mobile has anything over the rotella.
