First of all, LOVE THE SITE!!!! I'm a newbie at posting but have been looking around FTE for a while.
I have a 2004 f-250 SRW, V-10 long bed, auto: I've noticed during take off I have this slight vibration that lasts for 2 or 3 seconds. It only happens during take off at about medium to heavy acceleration.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what was done to fix it. Any input/ideas is appreciated.
You might have to shim down your carrier bearing about a 1/4 - 1/2 an inch. Most people have this problem when they lift their trucks. I would take it back to the dealer and have them put the shims in for you. Hope this helps.
Just talked to dealer today, they said that they are replacing the carrier bearing and are going to put shims to correct the driveshaft angle. Thanks for all your input.
CWB, yes I did a search for "vibration" and only saw 1 result that was simular to my question. But I also wanted to see the responses I would get asking the question the best way I could explain my situation. It just makes me more comfortable seeing responses directly to my question. I know in this forum many questions get asked multiple times but at least I know better than to ask "Which lift kit is better" . Plus Mr. T was on my back threatening PAIN!!
