Yeah, when I get the forty done they'll do a double take here to. there are a few of the 67-68 mustangs around here we cruise the main street in the summer and have people coming off the beaches when we all park side by side!!! JOHN
I have a set of plans to build a Ford Model T hot rod. They only give you the Che**y motor mount plans. I'm sorry, I want to put a 302 in it. So now I have to fab my own motor mounts.
It just makes me sick.

As for the Model T plans, have you tried [link:www.nationaltbucketassoc.com|The National T-Bucket association]? My dream is to build a custom "T" with a tuned port, nitrous aided, fire-breathing, alcohol burning 460 (Tim Taylor grunt). Gas mileage would be on a 1:1 ratio, it would beat me to death at stop lights, it will cost a fortune; but it will beat the pants off a chevy any day!
Speaking of 460's, At a local show, I saw a (I think) '32 Ford 2 door, or 3 window, or something like that, with no hood, and a 429/460 (I can't tell the diff.) Edelbrock intake, 2x4 carbs, twin centrifugal superchargers, and one of the wildest cams I've ever heard running out through dual 4" sidepipes! I just about *let it go* when I saw that one!

Nothing, and I mean nothing, stirs the soul, saying I'm a bad **** like lettin'em rip with a window shaking, fuel gulpin, carbon monoxide belchin, attention gettin, V-oh my LORD!-8!
Well, I still haven't gotten the pictures from the guy with th 66 here in texas. But have run across an excellent deal on a 65 in Arizona. 390 auto, new paint, no rust. Excellent shape, for $4,500. Ready to roll. THis other truck needs a windshield and the interior redone. So, for $500 less money I think I might look forward to going to arizona.
I here they have nice trucks and cars out there, go for it my forty spent its whole life on a farm in N.J. until I change the title over it is still an "A" title pretty good for 50 years old huh? JOHN fatforty

Yes, I've done some research through them. The plans that I have came from California Custom Roadsters.
I'm just going to use a 302 (I hope with the Mustang SEFI Setup), That should be plenty of power for me.

I don't have a story that horrendous. This is a why I stuck with Ford trucks. About 15 years ago I worked for a towing company. It was a small place with 3 trucks, 1 FORD and 2 of the other guy. The boss calls me at 1 A.M. to see if I could go pick-up this brake down, I asked why (it was -20 degrees) His and the other drivers truck won't start. I went out and turned the key she moaned and groaned but she started. From that time on I've been a faithful Ford truck fan.
i hate to say this but bein the 4wheeler that i am i know a lot and on this ocasion i know that people put ch**y drive train in ford trucks cause the ch**y drive train is supposedly better than a fords but they use the ford chassis cause of the ttb, for like dune runnin or pre-runner stuff.
I agree with all you guys!
have you ever noticed what rear diffs there all using mostly
9" fords in any street rod .doesn't matter what car make or truck

Ford Trucks Built Tough!

Watch out Mr Mayor of Truckville
chevy's 350 is a cheap engine, and i have heard that it's easier to bolt up than a 351. go figure. i still hate seeing a beatufiul ford with a 350 in it. it's just dumb. and i do agree with the haed thig too!
