Tuner- ping.

For the history of this subject, I refer to some of my earlier posts. I talked dirctly to Superchips and their conclusion was to use a colder t-stat and re-flash the computer.What about to use colder plugs?

No, but I can't use the tuner in the tow or perf. mode.

did you check you base timing at 10 degrees BTDC? I think I would check that. i your timing is off the tuner is adding more. does tow and performance ping also?

Base timing is 10 deg BTC. It pings in both tow and perf.mode, not immidiately but after some miles of driving.

use no less than 180 degree t-stat. good gas? how many miles?

The truck has only 30 K miles and is in very good kondition. I use 95 oct gas and I have never heard anyone got bad quality here in Sweden.I'll probably stay with stock t-stat and skip the tuner, but I miss the added torque of it.Sorry, this post was ment for the computer/chip section.
