I have a '79 Bronco I just transplanted a '76 460 Lincoln motor into. Kudos to Jeff's Bronco Graveyard and L&L. I stole the switch and the wiper delay box out of the '76 Lincoln Continental and I want to adapt it to the '79 Bronco. The Lincoln's box has a total of 10 wires that go towards motor and a total of 7 wires on the switch whick uses pins not spades. The '76 Bronco had a switch with 7 spade lugs which are are split into two connectors. One connector has two wires for the washer and the other connector has 5 wires which go torward the motor. Can I use the Lincoln wiper delay switch and box for the Bronco, and if so, what is the wiring diagram and color code?
I am new to the forum, so apologize if this question has been answered before, but I don't have access to either Ford Bronco wiring diagrams or for a Lincoln. Can you please reply to either my email address or to this thread.
Folks I took the easy way out and used a switch and delay box out of a 80's F250 with the XLT option. I got lucky as my original wiper switch (two connectors) had the symetrical two spade connector for the washer. Simply plugging it on reversed solved the washer 12V issue. I also lucked out and got two switches and two delay boxes at my local boneyard for $15. I now have two wiper speeds turning **** to right and delay turning it to the left. Plus my original washer still works. I did dissect and compare the Linclon delay to the F250 delay. So I also have a pinout for the Lincoln box that will work in the Bronco should the F250 delay box or switch crap.
