blue oval on tailgate

blue oval on tailgate
hey everybody, gotta quick question for ya. what is holding on the blue oval on the back of the tailgate on the rangers. is it just an adhesive, and are there holes in the tailgate that would show if i moved the blue oval or took it off? I was thinking about moving it to the center of the tailgate like the newer f-150's just to make mine different from all the other rangers. thanks

i have a 96 Ranger.. It's held on by strong glue but is removeable with some work. There was no alignment holes on my tail gate. A new oval decal runs about $15 from the dealer for that size..bigger is a little more.
Gone but not forgotten.
