10W30 is too light for Southern US states. 20W50 - in my case, Valvoline MaxLife 20W50 for my 265,000 mile F-150.

Oil spills

Throw a newspaper across the axle and one under. Really no other way except to get the remote filter kit.

Go to Costco and get the mobil 1. It will help extend your motor life... If you dont have a Costco near you themit will cost more but still worth it... And i use WIX filters....

What sort of things have you heard about Fram? I'm asking 'cause I just put one in the truck and the car recently. I never used Fram before this either, it was just what I happened to pick up.

Thanks, Beast12. Needless to say, the next oil change will be including a different brand filter.
