I've seen reference to OASIS on a few threads in this forum. I've deduced (perhaps incorrectly) that it's a service/website/business that records warranty work based on a vehicle's VIN. Am I correct? Is it an independent service, a Ford service, must I go to a Ford dealer, is there a website, etc.? I bought a used '02 Expy from a dealer 6-months ago which came with maint. records, but no warranty work records. I'm curious to find out if there's been any warranty work performed on my vehicle. Any info would be appreciated.
OASIS is the name of the Ford database. It contains owners information, warranty status, service history for a period of time (a year I think), recalls, and service bulletins.
Your service department should be willing to do a check on OASIS for any open recalls and show/print the service history of the truck.

Exactly Right Dave...unfortunately they only show the warranty work performed in the last 12 months (like you said).
It does show the service history for a particular vehicle at a given dealership.
For instance, I bought my 98 Ranger at Apple Ford in Columbia Maryland. Their database shows all maintenance performed since new. I had them print the service history for me 3 years after purchase. It showed everything.
I went to the local Ford dealership here in Ky to get the history on my 98 Expedition - unfortunately it wasn't a local vehicle and had no warranty work done in the last 12 months, so OASIS showed nothing...bummer
Some vehicles have no service history because the owner never had it serviced. Ive had a number of used trade in come in the shop with 25K or more miles with the original oil filter still on the vehicle. They just pass their junk to the next buyer.

Homer,
I'm sure you've seen a bit of everything!
When I worked at my uncle's dealership back in '79, detailing cars and doing oil changes, there was a man who owned a local fruit/produce stand. He brought his Lincoln towncar in for a wash/vacuuming and oil change.
It had 40k+ miles on it and had never had the oil changed. The rear floorboards were barely visible under a foot of garbage and the tan leather interior was nearly black - it was disgusting to say the least.
