John, I am new to the forumn, but you should look into the auto show that is held at Gateway international raceway in Madison, Il. We maybe could join there at a corner of the raceway. It does however cost to get in, but for what it is to look at everyone else's rides, it is well worth it. Later in the weekend, there is a cruise that goes from madison, Il through st louis, MO. It is great, watched it 1 time and fell in love. Please look into this as I think we could get alot of the southern IlL guys involved in this one.
When is this show, and how much does it cost to get in? It sounds like a fun event. It's kind of a far drive for some of us from the Chicagoland area, but it would definetly be something to consider for a Chapter event.
I agree with John..........a long drive, but promises to be a great time at Gateway.
What about Carlyle Lake? What can you tell us about it?
Maybe we can make it a week end long thing for those of us up North.
I hope to have many free week ends with the new job, but........too soon to tell as of now.
I love this involvement from our members! It's getting better every day!
Thanks, Fastronald
The lake is HUGE. boat docks, pavalions, huge parking lots. I am going out there today to spot around some areas to see what would be a good place to have a party. Fishing tournaments get in the way sometimes, but mostly if you are there early in the day you can pick your spot. I will also inquire about reserving an area. I will post with what I find. I think everyone would love it.
