Up coming events

Does the Iowa Chapter have any events or swap meets scheduled in the near future? I would like to attend.

We do... and attending shouldn't be a problem for you. We we're thinking about your backyard - burgers, brats, and a variety of beverages. Nothing too fancy, but fun for the whole family. You'll need prizes to hand out for - Biggest lift, Best Mods, and "Rusty, but Trusty" (I have multiple entries for the that one!)

Seriously- Welcome to the IA Chapter. Seems like a number of us have had busy lives lately... but there is a growing interest in mud /off-roading. As far as swap meets - there is a Buy/Sell/Trade forum to browse / post in.

What part of Iowa do you live in? There are most FTE'rs that can tell you more about what is going on near you.

what do you mean growing interest I had already built and raced one truck and blown up 1 engine, and pretty much built the other truck before I ever found this site.
If anyone has an idea for a GTG lets hear it I am always listening, and usually can find time to meet up with guys if it's not on a race weekend

Girlfriend usually has me by the....I mean, has me for the weekends. Otherwise, I'll probably be bugging Rob about if he'll be racing or not. ^_^

Where you at, Brad? That would help. We don't have to have a "designated" event for the whole chapter. Something as simple as 4 or 5 people close together is an event itself.

Rob, if you sign your wife up, and I sign up Missy, then when we get together for races we'd have 4 members...isn't that enough to qualify for a "chapter meeting"? Plus two ranking members.

Actually I was talking about you and those posting that is spurring interest in others to go, or get involved - even if it's just letting others know when races are or what they're about.... it's a good thing. I know I (and I'm sure others) appreciate the videos too.

there's nothing set, but we are always looking for things that we can coordinate with to make the trip more worth it to those further out. But it can also just be that someone needs some help doing something and others are willing to come help, or even just a BS session for guys to get together and have a little fun. If you have ideas or such, feel free to say something! There is no limit or requirements to having events or get togethers. anyone can set them up or request them. We don't have any actual swap meets of our own, but when you hear of one, post it so the rest of us know about it as well, and we can get together there or whatever. I know there will be one again probably in October at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids.
