Unhappy Oil Pan Seal

Anyone had to change their oil pan seal yet? I have a descent leak ina 99 Ranger 3.0 FFV and I was looking at the chiltons manual, man it looks like a royal pain in the rear. Any tips or anyone's past experiences with this issue would be appreciated.

There isn't really any shortcut. You're gonna have to raise the engine up a few inches:

Make sure you use the new gasket and bolts:
