low fuel light

Are you sure it's your fuel sender? I have an 84 with the center console fuel light and I had the same problem a few years back. I found it was a glitchy wire in the console. Fuel gauge was okay. Check to see if the reset button (button on console) is working okay and not sticking. Mine sticks occasionally.

about the b2 sending unit it just the sending unit without the pump cost around 100.
with pump about 50 more i have seen some up to 240.
i went to a advance auto parts store and bought myself the whole thing sending unit and pump for 98.00 bucks i have the part number right here
masters fuel pump with assembly #E2097S there you go runs you about 105.00 with tax
