I just installed a Tymar air intake on my '02 crew cab dually. As soon as I hopped in to test drive it, I noticed a vibration through the brake pedal. This is in park as well as when stopping at a light.
I double checked that everything was tight and installed properly. The truck seems to run fine and sounds the same except for the extra whine from the intake.
Any suggestions as to the vibration? Anyone else noticed this?
Is the filter touching the master cylinder? It's a close fit but you can bend the bracket a little to keep the filter away from the master cylinder.

So did that suggestion help with the problem? I just installed one myself and all the sudden, I have the same issue and would like to know if and what you did to fix it.
What Bob Goodsel said, if you are feeling something new through the brake pedal, then take whatever steps are necessary to isolate the contact points from the master cylinder and related assemblies. Bend tabs, cut away something on the new kit.
I was feeling the same vibration after I installed the 6637 filter. I think the only way to get the filter away from the master cylinder is by adding a 45 degree bend 4" tube. Kwik, what do you think.

I had to take the battery back out and loosen the bracket bolts to turn it just slightly.
I got the filter off the master cylinder (barely) - problem solved. It is a tight fit.

I went out and looked at my truck and didn't see any room for adjustment anywhere. The filter was resting against the battery box on one side and the relay box on the other side. For some reason my filter is VERY CLOSE to the master cylinder but not making contact anywhere. You might try loosening the clamp that holds the intake boot to the CCV stand and rotating the assembly a bit to try and get the air cleaner to sit up at a slight angle and clear the master cylinder. Other than that there is simply no room for front to back adjustment. At least on my truck there isn't. I put a new picture in my gallery if you want a better view. You can see that it's tilted when it's sitting in the truck.
