01 Platinum Edition Sun Visor Issue
I know that there are at least a few of us subscribing to this forum that own '01 SD CC Platinum editions, including Platinum Lady and markcrane. I've searched the forum for any info relating to maintenance issues on the sun visor with no success, even though I seem to recall posting one myself in which I talked about replacing the entire visor under warranty because the weather stripping starting peeling loose.
Well, here I am again a couple of years and 60 thousand miles later, and its deja vu all over again. Weather stripping about 1/2 in wide by 1/4 in thick is starting to drop from the bottom side of the visor on to the top of the windshield on the left and right sides. Anyone else experience this? If so, is the fix difficult? The dealership replaced the whole unit last time and Ford ate the $1K bill. I'm not inclined to go that route again without the warranty coverage.
