Replacing Torn Sun Visor
This weekend I replaced the torn ceiling the wife has been nagging about since we bought this truck. But when It came time to replace the visor's upholstery I could not open the visor to place new material in
By the way, Visor type is flip up lighted mirror. which was easy to disassemble. Already removed upholstery and have part stripped to the plastic.
Does anybody know of a way to break the seal on the visor halves?
Or am I doing something wrong trying to open up the visor?
I already tried with Screwdrivers and the glued part won't budge.
Appreciate the help!!

Just replaced the headliner and the upholstery on both visors a couple weeks ago. I wrestled with the same problem until I realized that they aren't meant to separate or open like a clam shell. You simply tuck the edge of the upholstert into the groove all the way around and it will stay nice and snug. Mine turned out excellent! Looks like brand new factory installed.
Did exactly what you said PCGURU and the visors look great!
Showed it to one of my friends, flipped up the lighted mirror and his first words were "HOW DID YOU DO THAT?"
Now I'm getting ready to tackle the leather seats.
Thanks for the advise to all!
